March shines a spotlight on the contributions of people with disabilities, and this year we’re proud to celebrate Joann, Gabe, and Chris, and Chase - four outstanding members of the Via community who were honored with Celebration Awards, and Stephanie, who was nominated.  Their hard work, dedication, and positive impact reflect the spirit of Developmental Disability Awareness Month and remind us how vital inclusion is to a thriving community.

Sharon Geroulo joined the Via Board because our mission reflects her own values of dignity, inclusion, and meaningful community support. With a personal connection - her grandson has autism - Sharon is deeply committed to strengthening services for individuals with disabilities and the families who love them. One of her favorite parts of serving on the board has been meeting fellow members who share her passion for advocacy and impact. Her insight and heart make her a valued part of the Via community.

We were thrilled to welcome Northampton Community College Dental Hygienist students to Via this month. As part of their community outreach, the students provided dental education, helpful tips to the individuals we support, and goody bags with toothbrushes, floss and toothpaste! Their visit offered a fun, hands‑on learning experience and reinforced the importance of accessible preventive care. We’re grateful for their partnership and the care they shared with our community.

Via is immensely grateful to the Edith L. Trees Charitable Trust, whose generous grant is helping Via expand our fleet of wheelchair‑accessible vans. Their support increases independence, safety, and community access for the individuals we serve.
